We've had over 100 applications from Year 11 students wanting to join our Sixth Form in September 2018 and we have spent the last few weeks interviewing and advising them about their chosen courses. It's not too late to apply, simply complete and return our application form and we'll invite you for interview.

There was a great buzz at our Sixth Form Open Evening.

Lots of students and parents, from a wide range of schools in the High Peak area, attended the Open Evening to talk to our staff and students about the range of courses that we have on offer, our successful summer exam results and our Ofsted 'GOOD' judgement.

If you were unable to make the Open Evening please contact us and we will gladly show you around and talk you through your application process.

Open Evening 2016

We are now recruiting for 2018 and we will be visiting local schools and colleges over the next few weeks as part of their careers events.

Starting your journey with Glossopdale Sixth Form couldn’t be easier. Simply select your preferred A Level or BTEC courses from our prospectus. Complete our application form and return it to us via email, post or in person. Once we have your application we will invite you for interview to discuss the entry requirements, course options and your future aspirations. On GCSE results day in August 2018, you will need to come to enrolment to confirm your final choices.

Summer Transition Projects

Prior to commencing your new  A Level courses in September you will be required to complete a summer transition project for each subject. These are specific tasks or research activities that should take between 6 to 10 hours of independent work. They are designed to introduce you to your new BTEC and A Level courses.  All completed work should be brought with you on the first day of term and will form the basis of your first lessons.
