Be Safe

Students

Glossopdale Community College is part of a Safer School Partnership in association with Derbyshire Constabulary.

Safety is important for all children and young people and at Glossopdale we believe that preventing harm from occurring in the first place is the best way to keep you safe. Children and young people should be able to enjoy safe environments wherever they spend their time.

It is also really important that children, young people and their parents can develop a good understanding of possible risks to safety and how to overcome them.

All children and young people should feel safe and protected. We want you to enjoy your childhood, stay safe and have the freedom to grow and achieve your full potential.

We feel it is important that everyone – parents, teachers, & specialists – work together to create safe and accessible environments for children and young people wherever they are, whether at home, at college, post 16, out playing, on transport, in public spaces or in a youth club.

Within College there are lots of adults that we hope you will feel able to talk to if you feel unsafe. Here is some information that you might also find useful.

E-Safety - Here at Glossopdale we think it is important that you are safe in the real world but also in the virtual world.  The internet is a fantastic resource which we would encourage you to use, but you need to be careful and use it safely.  Here is some information which will help you use the internet safely and tell you what to do if you need to report something.
