Wellbeing

Wellbeing is defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as “the state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy” However, it is important to realise that wellbeing is a much broader concept than moment-to-moment happiness. While it does include happiness, it also includes other things, such as how satisfied people are with their life as a whole, their sense of purpose, and how in control they feel.

Please speak to your year cluster team if you have any worries; we are here to help and to listen. You are not alone. If you feel you can, please contact your year manager or send an email to wellbeingsupport@glossopdale.school and someone will get back to you with offers of help and support.

We have also now recruited a therapy dog for the school. Please see details in the letter home at the bottom of the page.

There are also a number of resources outside of school that offer guidance, resources and advice.
