Entry Requirements

Five GCSEs at grade four or above in different subjects including English and Maths. 

Course Overview

Students will be introduced to a variety of experiences that explore a range of photographic media, techniques and processes. They will be made aware of both traditional and new technologies. Students use digital workbooks in the form of personal websites to underpin their work.

Students may wish to develop their drawing skills in order to produce storyboards, thumbnail sketches and/or diagrams, where appropriate. Students use some traditional methods but mainly digital techniques to produce images and video material. Adobe Photoshop and Premier Pro is a crucial tool that students utilise to develop their visual language. 

Display and installation is also explicitly taught. 

Students will be aware of the four assessment objectives and of the importance of process as well as product.
